Spotless, updated unit with great view, and accommodating staff. Fairly nice area, central location adjacent to the river, the very clean stream, and the restaurant at Breakfast and Dinner.

Couldn't recommend more for a rapid stop
Comfortable room, delicious food, the bar area was inviting for a relaxing evening after a day spent exploring the local attractions, and the free Wi-Fi made planning our next adventure easy.
There was nothing I didn't like.

The setting is super. The room comfort is good. Despite there being a wedding the room was quiet.
The Dover Sole was overcooked and was supposed to come with new potatoes - they were not new. The breakfast - I asked for pastries so I got ONE croissant. I asked for some Honey and was told it would take some time. Half an hour later I asked again and it came immediately. The service at both dinner and breakfast was not good.

The location and surroundings were perfect for quietness and tranquillity yet close enough to major towns for eating out or shopping. Staff were warm, very friendly and helpful. Restaurant, reception and entrance were decorated to a high standard. Breakfast and other meals were excellent.
Rooms were not decorated to a particularly good standard. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. Persnally I think £150 for twin room No3 for the night was over priced. Would I recommend to other travellers, below, is more of a maybe, depending on the price and room. For dinning, location, friendliness then I would reccomend, but sadly let down by the rooms.

Everything!! From the moment we pulled into the carpark we were happy with the location. When checking in we were given friendly service and the rooms were fresh, new and well appointed. The setting was rural and rustic and ideal for the break we were after. We ate at the 'pub' and enjoyed the meal and atmosphere.

Extremely comfortable hotel and very good location for a family wedding close by. The rooms were of an excellent standard - very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very enjoyable. My husband left a gold chain in the bathroom and we received a phonecall from a member of your staff within an hour of leaving the hotel and we were able to pick it up later in the morning. We were very grateful and would like to commend the staff for their efficiency. We would definitely stay at this hotel again should the occasion arise.

The tasteful decor throughout The Crown, with beautiful views over the stream and gardens. The staff were also accommodating and helpful.
More accessible facilities for seniors would be beneficial.
